From the air raid warnings and plane spotting activities of the 1940’s Office of Civil Defense to the “Duck and Cover” campaign of the 1950’s, to today’s All Hazards Emergency Planning led by the Department of Homeland Security, Emergency Management offices of today bear little resemblance to their predecessors. These changes occurred, not only on a National basis, but here in Cohasset as well.
