The Communications Division of CEMA is mainly tasked with the upkeep of the Town of Cohasset’s Municipal Radio System (MRS). Over 120 radios are used daily by departments such as Recreation, DPW, School Dept, etc.

The MRS is used during emergencies by the Emergency Management Department to coordinate resources within the town and communicate efficiently with all members of the Emergency Committee.

Another task of the Communications Division is providing field communications to Police/Fire resources at an emergency scene. CEMA has a cache of portable and mobile radios that can be deployed in a matter of seconds.
